| 1.Question | : |
I have a 3/4 inch electric motor that is hooked to a gear box and used for trot line pulling. the switch that turns it on and off was broken. what type switch can you recommend |

| Answer: | : | Hello Gary,
I would use a master disconnect!!!
The 3/4 hp motor will generally draw 80 - 120Amps, if it has field coils.
If your motor is a permanent magnet motor -- then it will draw approx 20 - 40Amps.
Either way a Master Disconnect switch will be a solid choice.
Please see the 2484 Disconnect Switch I listed for your purchase, This is a common 175Amp continuous duty switch!!!!
Thanks
